Itinerary

Day 1: Country of residence – Urgentch

Flight day.

Day 2: Urgench – Khiva (transfer 40km~30m)

Breakfast in the hotel.

On arrival in the morning, you will be met by the driver and English/Italian-speaking guide as you leave the airport. Transfer to the hotel to rest and drop off your luggage. (Rooms available on arrival). Breakfast in the hotel.

Khiva - "city-fortress - Itchan Kala" - offers the atmosphere of "Thousand and One Nights" tale. As the youngest of the country's ancient cities, the city is still in good condition and shows you all its beauty.   The visits begin with a visit to Mukhammad Aminkhan madrasa and Kalta minaret near Ota Darvoza entrance portal.

The tour continues with Koukhna Ark fortress, which includes Friday Mosque, Throne Hall and the Chancellery, and Mohammed Rakhim medersa - the poet khan, known by the pseudonym Ferouz.

Lunch in a small restaurant on the terrace.

Afternoon, continuation of the visits with the discovery of Tach Khaouli palace and its Harem, Allakoulikhan medersa and caravanserai, and Friday Mosque with its 218 carved wooden columns.

Continue your visit to the city with Islam Khodja medersa and its highest minaret in the city, Pakhlavon Makhmoud mausoleum and Sayid Alaouddin mausoleum.

Dinner in a restaurant with a beautiful illuminated view of Ichan Kala.

Good idea: Visit of Aïvan - the terrace of the fortress wall known as Akshahbobo and discover Khiva in the sunset.

Day 3: Khiva – Bukhara (450km~6-7h of road)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 09:00 welcome by the driver and drive to Bukhara passing the red sands of the Kizil-Koum desert, the rice fields to discover the agriculture of the Khorezmians (depending on the season) and discovery of the Amou-Daria river, a veritable blue snake in the desert.

Lunch break in a café on the road.

Afternoon drive to Bukhara, arriving late afternoon. In the evening, night tour of the old town of Bukhara.

Day 4: Bukhara (walking visits)

Breakfast in the hotel.

Bukhara - the center of Islam and a mysterious caravan city known for its narrow quarters.

Beginning of the discovery of the city by the mausoleum of Ismail Samani, one of the oldest monuments of the city and nearby; the mausoleum Tchachmaï Ayyub; the mosque Bolo-Khaouz with its twenty pillars of its terrace; the citadel of Ark, fortress of the sovereigns of Bukhara.

Lunch in a restaurant in the heart of the old town.

Continuation of visits by the Poi-Kalyan square, which groups together the Miri-Arab madrasa, the Kalon mosque and the Kalon minaret,

Tea break in the traditional Tea House for a tasting of Bukhara spiced tea.

Continuation of visits by the Tim (covered market) Abdhoulla Khan, where you can find beautiful hand-woven silks; the Oulugbeg and Abdoulaziz Khan madrasas; the Tok-i-Zargaron or jewelers' domes, the Magok-i-Attari mosque, one of the oldest in the city on the site of an ancient Zoroastrian temple.

Continuation of visits by the Lyabi-Khaouz complex, the center of the city, which welcomes all visitors in its circle: a large khaouz (pool), the Koukeldoch madrasa, the khanagha and the Nodir Devanbeghi madrasa. The tour ends with a visit to the Chor Minor madrasa, hidden away in the old quarters of the city.

At 18:00 visit Nodir Devon Begui madrasa, dinner with traditional Uzbek dance show and costume parade in the madrasa courtyard. Accommodation in the hotel.

Good idea: In the evening, visit and discover the illuminated view of Poi Kalon square.

Walk through the old Jewish quarter of the old town to discover the old houses and their interiors.

Day 5: Bukhara – Samarkand (train)

Breakfast in the hotel.

Visit of Bukhara continues with the city's external monuments.

First visit to the Bahaouddin Nakchbandi necropolis, the most sacred mausoleum and complex of the most famous person among Muslims. Next visit is to the summer residence of the last emirs of Bukhara, Sitora-i-Mokhi Khossa.

Lunch in a restaurant in the heart of the old town.

In the afternoon, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Bukhara station. Departure by train for Samarkand at 15:44. Arrival in Samarkand at 17:27. Transfer to the hotel to drop off your luggage.

Preparation and dinner with a local family in Samarkand. The people of Samarkand are unique, with their own traditions and a dialect that blends Uzbek-Tajik culture and language.  Master-class of the preparation traditional food “Pilaf” with the family. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 6: Samarkand

Breakfast in the hotel.

 Samarkand – the legendary city known for its rich history and important commercial role on the Silk Road.

We begin our first visit with Registan Square, the country's calling card, which was the central square with its bazaar and complex of three madrasas: the Ulugbek madrasa, the Sherdor madrasa and the Tilla-Kori madrasa.

Visit to the ‘Gour-i Emir’ mausoleum - Tamerlan's mausoleum built as a madrasa by his grandson, but transformed into a mausoleum after his death.

Lunch in a local café, where you can sample the city's traditional dishes.

Afternoon continuation of the city tour. Visit to the Afrosiab museum to discover the frescoes from the pre-Islamic period in the region. Continue with a visit to the first observatory built by Ulugbek, Tamerlan’s grandson.

Continuation of visit by the Silk Paper Workshop to discover how it is produced.

Good idea: We recommend that you send the letter to your silk paper friends to tell their story after your return.

At 18:00 visit the El Merosi theater with a presentation of the historical costumes of the peoples of Central Asia.

Dinner in a local restaurant in the city. Accommodation in the hotel.

idea: Discover Samarkand and its illuminated monuments in the evening in the warm atmosphere where locals go as a couple, with children or friends to enjoy themselves in a beautiful atmosphere - free of charge;

Day 7: Samarkand – Tashkent (train)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Continuation of city tour. In the morning visit to the Shakhi Zinda necropolis, a group of monuments grouped together like the pearls of a complete jewel, demonstrating all the artistic nuances of Islamic architectural decoration.

Visit to the Bibi Khanoum mosque, the largest in Central Asia at the time. Next to the mosque, visit the historic Siyab bazaar to discover the atmosphere and flavors of the Orient.

In the afternoon, the driver will meet you and transfer you to Samarkand station. At 17:37 departure by train for Tashkent. At 19:53 arrival in Tashkent.

Day 8: Tashkent

Breakfast in the hotel.

Tashkent - the city with the atmosphere of the East and modernity.

Beginning of the visits by the discovery of the capital by its charm of the East with the square Khasti-Imam with complex of Barak Khan, the mausoleum of Kaffal Shoshi, the mosque Friday and the madrasa Moïe Moubarak which keeps ancient Koran of Ousman.

The visit continues with the Tchorsou covered bazaar, which is unique for its grandeur and its blue dome.

Lunch in a local restaurant in the capital.

Afternoon, continuation of the visits with the Tashkent metro, each station decorated as a symbolic work of art of the country.

Visit Independence Square and its Memorial Monument to the victims of the Second World War - free of charge.

Dinner in a traditional restaurant of the city. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 9: Tashkent

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to the airport and flight to Istanbul.
